I feel your pain. The more indulgent parents became over the last decades, the more self-indulgent their progeny. No longer do young adults learn for the thrill of discovery; they learn to check a box that leads to larger paychecks or greater notoriety.

Without question, we who learn for the love of it and teach to share that love are destined for extinction.
